First State is community bank headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. We have branch offices in Goshen, Elkhart and South Bend. We take the term "Community Bank" to heart. We support organizations that help families and youth in our area with donations and by encouraging employees to volunteer their time and talents in places where they like to make a difference.

Right now, we have an opening for a Commercial & Consumer Loan Processor. This position helps in the vital process of completing the accurate documentation needed to complete a loan to a business or consumer. It is a fast-paced, detail oriented position located in Middlebury, Indiana 100% of the time.

Here are things that you would do during your work day:

• Prepare loan documents in that have been approved


• Review documents to double check for accuracy


• Talk to other members of the lending teams to help them complete loans on time for our customers


• Complete other duties to maintain loan files

And here are some things you would do from time to time:

• Attend group meetings to make sure communication stays open and helpful


• From time to time assist another lending areas with work load


• There may be other duties assigned to you as well

Here are some skills you will need to be considered for the position:

•  We prefer you have at least one year of banking experience


•  High school diploma or equivalent is required


•  In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook


•  Intermediate skill in MS Excel preferred


•  Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment


•  Professional written and verbal communication as well as excellent customer service skills


•  We would LOVE it if you are familiar with LaserPro software!
  

The position offers good working conditions and environment. You must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds. You may be sitting or standing for long periods of time during your day. You will be looking at a computer screen for the majority of your workday.
