Local Box Truck Driver – Atlanta, GA

Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour + Overtime Available

Diaz Foods is looking for a dependable and hardworking Local Box Truck Driver to join our team!

In this position, you will drive a box truck and deliver food products to restaurants and grocery stores throughout the Atlanta area. This is a hands-on position that includes driving, unloading products, and providing excellent customer service.

What You'll Do:

  Drive a box truck to deliver food products to local restaurants and grocery stores

  
  


• 
  

  Follow all DOT regulations and maintain a safe driving record

  
  


• 
  

  Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required driver paperwork

  
  


• 
  

  Load and unload products using a hand truck and ramp when available

  
  


• 
  

  Lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds

  
  


• 
  

  Deliver products to the customer's designated area

  
  


• 
  

  Restack products when requested by the customer, including inside coolers or freezers

  
  


• 
  

  Compare delivered products with customer invoices

  
  


• 
  

  Obtain customer signatures and collect payments when necessary

  
  


• 
  

  Report vehicle, operational, customer, product, or payment issues to the appropriate department

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a professional and positive attitude with customers and team members

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Previous driving or delivery experience is a plus, but not required

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently

  
  


• 
  

  Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members

  
  

Physical Requirements:

This is an active and physical position. You must be able to:

  Sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the day

  Drive for extended periods

  Use a hand truck to move products

  
  


• 
  

  Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds

  
  


• 
  

  Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds

  
  


• 
  

  Work around coolers and freezers when making deliveries

  
  


• 
  

  Have the ability to see, hear, and safely operate a vehicle

  
  

Education & Experience:

• 
  

  Less than a high school education is acceptable

  
  


• 
  

  Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not required

  
  


• 
  

  Training will be provided

  
  

Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour

Overtime: Available based on business needs
