Location Manager

Location: Jasper, IN

Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 + Benefits

A well-known and established Ag Retailer is looking for a Location Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in Ag Retail and strong interpersonal skills. This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth, as the company aims to groom the new hire to take over the General Manager role in approximately 5 years. Local candidates are preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales and Customer Relations:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Promote and sell agronomy products, including seed, fertilizer, and agricultural chemicals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations at the location, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving, storing, and distributing agronomy products.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions.

• Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and support a team of employees, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage team collaboration.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.

• Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with upper management to develop and implement strategic plans for the location.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive.

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ag Retail or related field.
  • Proven track record in sales and customer service.
  • Experience in managing operations and leading teams.

• Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Relevant work experience can substitute for education.
