Locum - Cardiology - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum Cardiology Physician

Summary: We are seeking a locum Cardiology Physician to provide critical support to four medical facilities in Omaha, Nebraska, beginning October 2026 and continuing thereafter. The practice encompasses a hub and spoke model, with Creighton University Medical Center serving as the academic center alongside Lakeside, Mercy Council Bluffs, and Immanuel hospitals. The position offers a dynamic environment and the opportunity to make a substantial impact on patient care across multiple locations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite coverage for general cardiology from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.


• Participate in night call coverage which includes handling consults and evaluations, primarily via phone.


• Conduct general cardiology procedures including ECHO and TEE.


• Collaborate with inpatient APP support for weekday rounds.


• Handle gaps in coverage by providing services across all four hospital sites.


• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records management.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Cardiology.


• Active Nebraska and/or Iowa medical licenses or IMLC.


• Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications are highly preferred.


• Availability from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.


• Ability to confirm understanding of night call coverage responsibilities at all four sites.


• Clean malpractice history and background is highly preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nebraska medical license or Iowa medical license with IMLC eligibility.


• DEA, BLS, and ACLS certification must be current and evidence attached to submission.
