Medicus has partnered with a hospital in northeastern Massachusetts that has an opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Location: Newburyport, MA

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: 9a-6p, 11a-9p, or 4p-12a
• Facility: 20 ED beds (16 main, 4 fast track)
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Must have ACLS, PALS
• Paid travel & expenses: Mileage, Hotel
• The provider rate of pay is $115/hr

Timing

Northeast RAD typaically signs off to VRAD for night coverage CT - Ultrasound

typically sign off around 9-10pm same for weekends . VRAD overead by rads next morning

Neurologists: Neurologists provide tele stroke consults, ED/IP

Heart Center: No

Cath Lab: Diagnostic only (EP and IR also)

Trauma Center: No

What is transferred out?

STEMI, trauma, some neurology/stroke, neurosurgery, pediatrics, tertiary level ICU/specialties

Any gaps in specialist coverage (i.e., common specialities - IR, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Hand)

Urology- Do not take call coverage from Friday 7AM - Monday 7AM and urologists do not admit patients. They do outpatient surgeries at the facility and are in the community.
