Locum - Surgery: Cardiothoracic - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Summary: Join a vital healthcare facility in Steubenville, Ohio, where the need for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon is urgent. This facility provides inpatient and clinic settings and supports a diverse patient population. You will be integral to the Cardiovascular Surgery service, ensuring patients receive high-quality care during your locum tenure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical care for patients in need of Cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG.


• Round on inpatients and manage emergent procedures while on call.


• Conduct consultations and follow-ups in the clinic setup.


• Collaborate with support staff including PAs, NPs, and MAs to ensure optimal patient care.


• Manage an average surgical caseload of 1-2 CABG per week and other varying cases.


• Utilize Meditech for EMR documentation and patient record management.


• Respond to patient needs efficiently while providing 24/7 call coverage during your shift.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (High preference) or Board Eligible (Required).


• Active Ohio Medical License (Required).


• Current ACLS certification (Required).


• Clean malpractice history (Highly Preferred).


• Availability to cover the specified dates and shifts.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification – Board Certified (Highly Preferred), Board Eligible (Required).


• Ohio License (Required).


• Other Certifications – ACLS (Required).
