Job Title: Locum - Orthopedic Surgeon

Summary: Join a dedicated team at a Trauma Level III facility located in Pueblo, Colorado. This opportunity calls for an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide surgical care and cover urgent dates over the upcoming months. The facility is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be available on-call within 30 minutes as per trauma center guidelines.


• Perform procedures consistent with the scope of care of a general Orthopedic Surgeon.


• Manage patient admissions, typically ranging from 2-5 per day.


• Provide surgical care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.


• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and management.


• Coordinate with support staff as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.


• Must hold an active Colorado medical license or IMLC (with LOQ in hand).


• Availability for the specified dates mentioned in the job description.


• Ability to specify the number of shifts per month you can offer.


• Clean malpractice and background check.


• Submission of a self-inquiry NPDB report will be considered with priority.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Colorado license or IMLC.


• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.


• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (highly preferred).


• DEA registration (transferable DEA is required for Sept dates).
