Locums OB Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Tenens OB
Hospitalist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. You will play a critical role in providing exceptional
maternal-fetal care to our patients. This position offers you the opportunity
to work in a dynamic and supportive environment while enjoying a flexible
schedule with a mix of 24-hour coverage shifts and in-house shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide 24-hour coverage shifts in Labor &
Delivery, managing obstetric emergencies, assisting with deliveries, and
overseeing the care of laboring patients.
· Perform postpartum rounds, provide comprehensive
care to recently delivered mothers, and address any postpartum issues or
concerns.
· Offer consultation services to pregnant patients
admitted to the hospital, including the evaluation of high-risk pregnancies and
the management of pregnancy complications.
· Collaborate closely with the OB/GYN team,
nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient
care and safety.
· Participate in educational initiatives for
nursing staff, residents, and medical students as applicable.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient
records, including electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
· Contribute to quality improvement and patient
safety initiatives within the OB department.
Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Active and unrestricted state medical license in Arizona.

Proven experience in labor and delivery and postpartum care.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical
decisions under pressure.
