Logistician

Job Description:
DT Professional Services is seeking a Junior Logistician to join our team in beautiful Oceanside, California! The candidate will analyze and coordinate our supply chain and oversee activities related to purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing. You will organize and direct the movement of goods, and equipment, including manufacturing components, consumer products, and military personnel and supplies.

The successful Logistician will choose, integrate, and implement software for systems that help them to plan and track product movement and use these systems to manage the company's data and administrative functions, such as for procurement, etc. There is required travel for this position – an estimated 10 days of travel per year. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee product acquisition
• Direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and products
• Forecast and direct the alignment of a product’s demand and supply flows
• Monitor and manage product risk
• Manage business systems, including their selection and implementation
• Review logistical functions and identify areas for improvement
• Serve as a liaison between an organization and its suppliers or customers
• Propose strategies to minimize costs or time required to deliver goods
• Oversee comprehensive logistical support tasks encompassing asset management, inventory control, configuration, and change management for advanced radio and networking equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must possess an active DoD issued Secret Clearance
• Must possess for Comptia Security+ certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Must possess a valid CA driver’s license (a company car will be provided)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with ease
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, and must be a team player
• Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate with a team across multiple disciplines 
• Advanced troubleshooting skills

The compensation for this position: $65,000 annually.
