Logistician, Level 2

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily communication meetings with employees.
• Maintain productivity levels as established by the Logistics Manager.
• Ensure quality levels meet the standards set by the Logistics Manager.
• Foster an environment that motivates employees to take ownership of their responsibilities and improve productivity.
• Analyze warehouse areas to minimize backorders and shipping errors while reducing costs.
• Schedule warehousing activities to optimize storage capacity.
• Make sound decisions quickly.
• Analyze logistic trends and adapt to changes in day-to-day operations.
• Resolve employee issues effectively.
• Ensure regular completion of cycle counts.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Experience and Education: 

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Logistician, with management experience preferred.
• Experience must include property accounting processes and associated documentation.
• Must have knowledge of automated inventory control systems.
• Professional experience should encompass ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, property accountability, and the discharge of excess property.
• Practical experience processing paperwork associated with the Government Bill of Lading is required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work a schedule between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph to be considered for this role.
