Logistics Coordinator
Position Summary
This position is responsible for receiving inventory, cycle counts, daily production reconciliation, shipping related paperwork, waste recording, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Daily cycle counts of 5 items, making necessary corrections to inventory and updating daily log
- Correspond with railcar service regarding empty railcars and replacements needed
- Enter roll-stock receipts in to the system, maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Enter warehouse transfers into system and record on daily log
- Compile daily shipping activities to create outbound shipment reports
- Enter orders into ERP system and create bill of ladings
- Confer with management to ensure efficient flow of work through the distribution system including scheduling carrier and customer pickups, allocating orders in the ERP system, planning product moves between various warehouses and checking orders for pick accuracy.
- Support the Customer Service Group by providing delivery confirmations, invoice verifications so credits can be issued to customers, and other requests involving research of details within the ERP system and or carrier network
- Participates in planning and setting up in-bound replenishment orders in the ERP system to ensure a timely and efficient flow of finished goods while ensuring customer order demands are met.
Requirements:
- Detail oriented and propensity to work independently with minimum supervision
- Basic level problem solving skills
- Team player with good interpersonal & communication skills to foster lasting productive business relationships with suppliers, customers, management, and peers.
- Efficiently organize paperwork/ work space and accurately input figures into a computer
- Operate a forklift and clamp truck and meet required OSHA certifications for lift operators
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of arithmetic and structured problem-solving tools and their applications
- Analytical and proactively evolves solutions to reduce or eliminate problems in order management and shipment planning- enhancing internal and external customer service.
