Logistics Coordinator - Rapid Progression

Reporting to the Director of Transportation, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all transportation requests routed through the department for inbound, outbound, and third-party shipments. This individual will need to understand how to load tender to Less-Than-Truckload, Full-Truck Load, and parcel carriers within the BFG transportation network. This team member will be working cross-functionally with operations, customer service, sales, and various other departments ensuring all transportation performance is world-class & ensuring reduction to freight cost in the network. This will be a hybrid position and you must be located in one of the following areas for consideration: Cleveland, OH.; Denver CO.; Grand Rapids, MI.; Pittsburgh, PA; San Bernardino, CA.

Requirements:

• Freight Quoting for warehouse and third-party shipments.
• Ocean, LTL, FTL, and Parcel tendering with final mile coordination for customers (Direct or Third-Party). Ensure proper Carrier Selection, Bill of Lading generation, proof or delivery, and commercial invoicing.
• Weekly Carrier Billing Reconciliation for Outbound, Inbound, and Third-Party Shipments
• Working Cross-Functionally with operations, customer service, and sales to ensure proper carrier selection, on-time delivery (track and trace), and resolve any customer concerns for missing product or damages.
• Manage key vendor and customer account carrier performance to ensure meeting all department KPIs.
• Manage carrier claims and customer returns within transportation network.
• Utilize company ERP to review customer orders, ship-to management, and understanding how to determine shipment profitability.
• Other tasks/duties as required.

Experience:

• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Excellent Computer skills
• Experience of DOT (FMCSA) Regulations for motor carriers
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials Transportation
• Customer Service oriented
• Knowledge of third-party logistic networks and transportation billing
• Knowledge of warehousing process and coordination with operations departments
• Driver Management/Dispatching experience
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Education:

• Minimum of an Associates Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration from an accredited two -year college or university; Bachelors preferred.
• Prefer Six Sigma Certification, APICS or other Transportation Certification
