Logistics Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop streamlined logistics processes for both internal and external operations, integrating principles of lean manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate process requirements effectively, utilizing data-driven insights and industry best practices.
  • Strategize to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, solve logistical challenges, and lower operational costs.
  • Execute the implementation of optimized material handling flows and associated physical and digital workflows.
  • Establish standardized processes, define operator guidelines, and optimize material distribution routes, supported by relevant performance indicators.
  • Utilize robust data analysis skills to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design workstations aligned with internal flow strategies, ensuring seamless operations on the factory or warehouse floor.
  • Demonstrate expertise in logistics packaging, inventory management, and their impact on the supply chain.
  • Contribute to the creation of a facility layout based on the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) approach, facilitating just-in-time deliveries.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with component suppliers to ensure adherence to logistics requirements during inventory shipments, including understanding ASN data structures and packaging specifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with factory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in essential computer applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts and occasional weekends.

Salary Range: $55,000-60,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
