Role purpose

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the primary function of this role is to provide leadership to shift internal transport teams and goods in and shipping staff; and to provide internal transport solutions to all Dispatch, Assembly and Machining Functions.

Scope: Responsible for one site or small country.

Key responsibilities

**Operations Management **

Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area. Involves using existing systems and protocols.

**Transport **

Manage on a day-to-day basis the transportation of goods and supplies, using existing procedures; review procedures and recommend improvements to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.

**Incoming Goods **

Manage a medium-sized, medium-complexity warehouse and stores using existing procedures, and develop new procedures when required, to ensure that all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately.

**Health, Safety, and Environment **

Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well- being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.

**Work Scheduling and Allocation **

Develop short- or medium-term work schedules in order to achieve planned commitments. Approve overtime or use additional resources as needed.

**Performance Management **

Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.

**Operational Compliance **

Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these

instances and escalating issues as appropriate.

**Document Preparation **

Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.

**Document Management **

Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.

**Continuous Improvement **

Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.

**Outgoing Goods **

Cultivate an understanding of packaging needs and develop ideas for prototypes to support the packaging process.

**Inventory **

Manage inventory for a major site or large factory, following existing procedures to identify any issues and solve problems.

**Inventory Control **

Carry out a range of inventory-control activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.

Explain the local action plan, to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Experience

Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)
