Logistics Planner- Savannah, GA

This position supports the daily operations of the Outbound Transportation Team, Warehouse Team, Ecommerce Logistics, and other key contacts. These include Hasbro and external partners involved in NA Fulfillment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the capability to prioritize tasks effectively, and the ability to clearly report any issues that occur to the cross-functional team. The role is intended to be onsite at the warehouse, working closely with the warehouse team and transportation providers.\n\nThe Logistics Specialist will apply their expertise and experience to establish connections with key partners within the organization and across the broader market. This person handles relationships and communicates with third-party logistics providers. They ensure logistics procedures are followed and that transportation partners meet essential deadlines for pickup, trailer drop, load acceptance, and scheduling.\n\nThis position requires directing daily carrier transportation functions and producing reports. It also deals with internal business operations. The role involves coordinating with the Distribution Center and logistics service providers on both local and national scales. It provides operational insights to help the manager leading outbound transportation and other Fulfillment team members. Additionally, this role performs various warehouse-related duties assigned by the Manager of Warehouse Operations. As part of the duties on-site, the Logistics Planner will provide support to Hasbro\u0027s E-commerce business.\n\nYou will be based out of Savanna GA. This role requires a minimum of five (5) in-office days per week. \n\nWhat you\u2019ll bring:\n\nA Day in the Life as a Transportation Specialist:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree or equivalent experience preferred.\n * 2-4 years collaborating with Domestic Trucking Carriers, Knowledge of Distribution Center Operations, The capacity to work on-site during standard warehouse operational hours including some weekend or remote/after-hours assignments\n * Arrange and facilitate the morning kickoff meeting alongside the DC team to tackle carrier misses/issues.\n * Creation and distribution of the daily Shipping Plan.\n * Supervise and communicate equipment, ETA\u2019s, change requests, appointments, and drops.\n * Handle the on-site trailer pool and ensure carrier commitments are met.\n * Maintain continuous communication during the day regarding current loading status in coordination with the DC staff.\n * Address issues and provide additional communication with all collaborators as needed.\n * Monitor in-transit reports and resolve any issues, including proactive partner communication and root causing failures.\n * Provide analytics support for the Transportation team on a regional, national, and global level.\n * Conduct warehouse walks to evaluate and find opportunities for improvement.\n * Assist in physical inventories or cycle counts as requested.\n * Audit outbound customer shipments to ensure proper stacking, palletizing, and loading, confirming these are done effectively within scope.\n * Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Hasbro Team.\n * Lead process improvement/continuous improvement projects while implementing lean methodology.\n * Support E-commerce business related to shipping, inspections, process auditing, and investigations.\n * Valuable relationships include Transportation Manager, Warehouse Manager, Ecom Manager, 3PL Warehouse Partners, Carrier Partners.\n\n\n * A highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills with proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.\n * Strong cross-functional partnership and collaboration skills with both internal and external collaborators.\n * Excellent communicator capable of building and maintaining relationships.\n * Flexible and adaptable; ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.\n * Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey relevant information to a diverse range of audiences.\n * Cultural awareness that facilitates developing effective working relationships at all interpersonal levels.\n * Ability to acquire new skills and conduct research independently.\n * Strong Excel skills.\n * Competency in other Microsoft Office applications.\n\n\n\nWe are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer\n\nHasbro is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions.
