 Position: Logistics Facilities Maintenance Technician Specialist
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
Compensation: Up to $32/ hour
 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Logistics Facilities Maintenance Technician Specialist to oversee the operation, repair, and optimization of critical systems, infrastructure, and equipment within a logistics facility. This advanced role is ideal for candidates with strong technical expertise across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and automated systems who are ready to lead specialized maintenance efforts and mentor junior team members.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced troubleshooting skills, experience managing specialized maintenance projects, and a solid understanding of compliance and safety standards in industrial environments. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced repairs, diagnostics, and installations on complex systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical distribution, automated conveyor systems)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for critical facility systems, providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance team
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve high-priority or non-routine maintenance issues
  • Implement and manage specialized preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
  • Mentor and train junior maintenance technicians; lead technical workshops or hands-on demonstrations
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and external contractors during system installations, upgrades, and modifications
  • Monitor facility equipment and systems performance; identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
  • Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, including work orders, parts usage, and labor tracking
  • Assist in managing and executing specialized maintenance projects from planning to completion
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and company standards
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed to reduce operational disruptions
  • Support procurement and inventory tracking of specialized parts and materials
  • Recommend and implement process improvements or system optimizations to enhance facility performance

Requirements

 

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities or equipment maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
  • Knowledge of HVAC, BAS, and control systems
  • Proficient with tools, diagnostic equipment, and CMMS software
  • Familiar with OSHA safety standards and industrial maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
  • Experience with energy management or green building tech
  • Project leadership or mentoring experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse or logistics maintenance operations
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities 

Technology Requirements:

  • Experience using CMMS and BAS systems
  • Skilled with diagnostic tools and technical software
     
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willing to work flexible hours and perform physical tasks
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player
  • Committed to continuous learning and technical growth
