Longfellow Morning Cook

Location: Longfellow Hotel, Portland ME
Schedule: Part-Time | ~25 hours per week
Shift: 6AM – 3PM M T W
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

We're looking for a reliable and motivated Morning Line Cook to join our culinary team! This part-time position is ideal for early risers who are passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. You'll help us provide high-quality breakfast and lunch service to our guests, maintaining high standards for food preparation, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to established recipes and standards

  Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service begins

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service

  Assist with inventory management 

  
  


• 
  

  Adapt to special requests with flexibility and attention to detail

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Prior kitchen or line cook experience preferred, especially in breakfast/brunch service

  
  


• 
  

  ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic

  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
