Loss Prevention Officer

Description

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for the prevention of theft, fraud, and inventory shrinkage within both hotels. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, conducting investigations, observing customer and employee behavior, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Monitor premises regularly to ensure safety and security
• Enforce company policies and site rules
• Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or emergencies to the appropriate authorities
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Check and monitor surveillance equipment, locks, and access points
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate daily logs
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuation procedures
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a visual deterrent
• Control access to buildings and restricted areas
• Collaboration with maintenance as entry level technician

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Excellent observational and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
• Physically able to stand or walk for long periods and perform light lifting

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor settings, depending on assignment
• Varying weather conditions
• Evening and nights as well as weekends and holidays
