As an Overnight Loss Prevention Officer, you serve as the primary guardian of the resort during the late-night and early-morning hours. This role is critical in maintaining a peaceful, secure environment while the resort is at rest. Working from a central office and conducting active patrols, you will monitor the property for safety violations, unauthorized access, and potential hazards, ensuring the resort remains a safe haven for our guests and a secure workplace for our overnight staff.

Essential Job Functions

  • Incident Investigation: Investigate and document detailed reports for any incidents occurring during the shift, including security breaches, medical emergencies, or property damage.

  • Monitoring & Dispatch: Monitor surveillance systems and act as the central communication point for overnight resort operations.

  • Safety Inspections: Assist in conducting nocturnal safety audits and inspections to ensure all fire exits, lighting, and security hardware are functioning correctly.

  • Administrative Duties: Manage overnight key controls, process lost and found items, and perform light administrative tasks such as data entry and report filing.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Private Security License.

  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and First Aid certifications.

  • Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred; ability to work independently during overnight hours is essential.

  • Driving: Must possess a valid, clear, and current Texas Driver’s License.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills for clear reporting and interaction with emergency services.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and work outdoors in varying temperatures. Slip-resistant, closed-toe footwear is required.
