Lot Attendant Service

Description

Volvo Palo Alto is looking for a Lot Porter. The Lot Porter performs regular maintenance (non-mechanical services), moves vehicles, and performs other duties assigned by the manager, all completed in a safe and timely manner.

The Lot Porter assists both the Sales and Service Departments in maintaining the new and used car lots, and in transporting vehicles to appropriate departments for service and inventory control.

Ø Parks vehicles in accordance with policy and under direction of Sales to ensure that the lot is attractive to potential buyers.

Ø Clean and maintain entire lot for new, used and service departments.

Ø Assist Sales and Service Staff in moving vehicles to ensure efficient dealership operations.

Ø Ensures cleanliness of all vehicles.

Ø Responsible for adding and maintaining key tags and window stickers on all lot vehicles.

Ø Drives vehicles to other dealerships for 'dealer swaps' or to other vendors as requested.

Ø May pick-up or deliver customers as requested using dealership vehicles.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Ø High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Ø One to three years of porter experience (preferred)

Ø Valid Drivers’ License 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIROMENTS, and WORK SCHEDULE: 

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.  Safely work with team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds. Stand, walk or sit for long periods of time without resting.  Ability to perform routine kneeling, crouching or crawling. WORK LOCATION:
This position is headquartered in Marin County CA.
This position may require traveling to other locations as required. 

Job Type: 

Full-time, Non-Exempt. Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.

Salary / Pay: $19.00/Hour
