Lot Porter

Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lot Porter is responsible for ensuring the dealership’s lot and vehicles are clean, orderly, and well-maintained. This role supports the sales and service teams by managing vehicle movement, maintaining inventory appearance, and providing light customer assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):

· Organize and maintain vehicle inventory on the lot for optimal display and accessibility.

· Inspect and clean vehicles for delivery or customer viewing (wash, vacuum, fuel, etc.).

· Move vehicles between locations, including service, sales lot, and detail areas.

· Assist in receiving new vehicle deliveries by checking for damage and confirming inventory.

· Maintain cleanliness of the lot, showroom, service area, and customer parking areas.

· Assist with snow removal or other weather-related lot upkeep as needed.

· Install dealer plates and remove sold vehicles from the display lot.

· Perform light maintenance tasks as directed (e.g., battery jump-starts, tire checks).

· Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers and team members.

· Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Ability to safely operate a wide variety of vehicles, including manual transmissions.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

· Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to be on your feet for extended periods.

· Dependable and punctual with a positive attitude.
