Lot Technician

River Valley Power and Sport of Red Wing is looking for a willing team player to join our Powersport Service team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, reliable, takes direction from management well, and has a large amount of forklift, truck/trailer transporting, detailing experience.

Compensation:  $20.00 - $23.00 (non-exempt), starting wage is based on experience, certifications, and qualifications of applicant. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., hours may vary depending on business needs including some required Saturdays 8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Requirements:
Must have valid driver's license and high school diploma/GED.  Ability to operate a laptop computer correlating to business system and company Sharepoint site. Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75lbs., walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.  Must be able to work in all elements of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold).  Must be willing able to obtain a DOT health card based on criteria set by DOT. 

Responsibilities:

• Complete preparation of new and used equipment for customer purchase, showroom floor, and delivery at a pristine level - powersport and marine product.


• Assist detail department with basic cleaning of equipment when needed, interior and exterior of powersport and marine products using specialized cleaners, vacuum's, pressure washer and standard cleaning equipment.


• Clean interior and exterior of product.


• Partner with management on quantity and quality of work within schedule.


• Unload new equipment from trucks, inspecting for quality and fulfilling proper receiving process requirements of equipment.


• Utilize special purpose cleaners to ensure lasting cleanliness.


• Maintain a clean and safe environment, moving and parking equipment to correct lot location.


• Operating forklift, F150 truck, flatbed truck, powersport products including motorcycles, and various hand and power tools.


• Proper trailering and securing transport loads.


• Moving equipment from the lot to staging to service bays, back to lot ensuring maximum technician efficiencies.


• Working with the store, parts and service managers on product showroom, parts storage and displays & lot staging ensuring cleanliness and organization in all areas.

• Some delivery of product to other company locations (Red Wing City Limits).


• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of facility withe some building maintenance tasks required.


• Seasonal snow removal tasks (shoveling, salting and plowing facility lot).


• Assist other departments as needed or on special help projects as assigned by management.
