Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Fiber Cable Puller/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, terminating, and maintaining low voltage fiber optic cabling systems. You will work closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cable Installation: Pull and route low voltage fiber optic cables in various environments, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Termination and Testing: Terminate fiber optic cables using appropriate techniques and tools, and conduct tests to verify connectivity and performance.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for cable installation and testing.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation layouts, test results, and material usage.
• Collaboration: Work with other team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to fiber optic systems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• THIS POSITION IS 100% TRAVEL. FIRST PROJECT IS AT FORT MEADE IN MARYLAND.
• Clear background w/ ability to get on a military base.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in low voltage or fiber optics is a plus.
• Previous experience in fiber optic installation, termination, and testing preferred.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in low voltage and fiber optic installations.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for low voltage cabling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy cables and equipment (up to [insert weight]) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and at heights.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
