Low Voltage Fire Alarm Project Technician – 70% Travel Role – Join Our Team in Cleveland, OH!
Are you an experienced Low Voltage Fire Alarm Project Technician with expertise in fire alarm installation, troubleshooting, and access control systems? We’re looking for skilled technicians to join our team in Cleveland, OH! If you have at least 2 years of experience in fire alarm installation and troubleshooting, along with experience in access control/burglary systems, we want to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For:
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems, intrusion alarms, and burglar alarms
Experience with access control systems is a plus
Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing fire alarm panels and related low-voltage components
Familiarity with EST (e.g., EST 4 or 3 fire alarm panels) or similar systems is highly desirable
Ability to interpret blueprints, site maps, and use fire alarm testing and troubleshooting equipment
70% travel required for regional projects (primarily in Ohio and surrounding areas)
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Ohio Fire Alarm Contractor License is required for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems in Ohio
Ohio Burglar Alarm License is also required for installing and servicing burglar alarm systems in Ohio
NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems certification is preferred but not mandatory
Local certifications or permits may be required depending on the specific city or municipality regulations in Cleveland or surrounding areas
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient with fire alarm systems (e.g., EST, Honeywell), glass break detectors, door strikes, and other low-voltage technologies
Strong ability to install panels, devices, and cabling in commercial settings
Experience working with CCTV, voice/data cabling, and network infrastructure is a plus
Comfortable working at heights (using boom lifts/scissor lifts) and in confined spaces
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must pass drug testing and background checks
Job Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and security systems, including pulling wire, installing panels, devices, and components, and performing repairs as needed
System Testing: Conduct system tests to verify functionality and troubleshoot issues to ensure compliance with local and national safety codes
Cable Management: Run low-voltage cabling, install conduit, and maintain a high standard of organization and safety
Travel Flexibility: 70% travel required for large or special projects, primarily within Ohio and surrounding areas
Adherence to Safety Regulations: Ensure all installations comply with Ohio fire codes, OSHA regulations, and safety standards
