The Low-Voltage Technician will be responsible for installing, routing, terminating, and testing copper (and potentially other low-voltage) wiring systems throughout a production plant environment. You’ll work on pulling wire, setting up pathways, following wiring schematics/blueprints, collaborating with other trades, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Pull, route, and install copper low‐voltage cable and wiring per production plant requirements (e.g., signal, control, communication)
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and layout plans
Install conduit, cable tray, wireways, supports and terminations as required
Label and identify wiring, maintain clear documentation of installed systems
Test wiring and low-voltage circuits for continuity, insulation, correct routing, and proper termination
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure installation aligns with operational needs
Work in accordance with electrical and safety codes, plant safety procedures, and low‐voltage best practices
Identify and report potential wiring issues, faults or deviations; assist in corrective work
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure workspace is clean, orderly, and safe
Occasionally assist with shutdowns, line relocations, or other special projects as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience with low-voltage wiring, cable installation or similar (pulling copper wire, terminations)
Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Comfortable working in a production/industrial environment (which may include elevated platforms, ladders, confined spaces, etc.)
Strong attention to detail + commitment to workmanship and safety
Basic tool set for wiring/cable installation (wire stripper, cable cutters, fish tape, etc.)
Good communication skills; ability to collaborate with team and follow instructions
Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial wiring or production plant experience
Familiarity with electrical codes and grounding practices relevant for low-voltage systems
Experience installing conduit, cable tray systems, and wire routings in industrial settings
Certification or trade schooling in electrical, electronics, or low‐voltage systems

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
