The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed
healthcare organization in Blue Ridge; GA and we are looking to hire experienced
and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses to provide quality patient care for
their Swing Bed Unit within the Medical/ Surgical Department.
In this role you will support patients through continued
medical care, recovery, rehabilitation and transitions of care. In this
essential role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various
settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities,
hospitals, and home care environments.
You will play a key role in promoting patient
comfort, safety, and well-being through patient assessments, medication
administration, monitoring, patient education, and collaboration with
physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
Shift Options: Full-Time | Days & Nights | PRN
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct
comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical
examinations, and health histories
- Administer
medications and injections according to physician orders and established
protocols
- Assist
with IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile dressing
changes while using proper aseptic techniques
- Monitor
patient conditions and promptly identify signs of acute pain or deterioration
that require urgent intervention or triage
- Maintain
accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interactions,
treatments, and observations in EHR systems
- Collaborate
with physicians, nurses, case managers, caregivers, and other healthcare
professionals to support individualized care plans
- Ensure
compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care standards while
maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
What We Are Looking For
- Graduate
of an accredited practical nursing program
- Active
LPN license in good standing
- LPN
experience in hospital (ICU, Trauma centers), nursing homes, hospice,
outpatient, or post-acute settings
- Strong
knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD Coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) documentation
standards
- Proficiency
in venipuncture, phlebotomy, catheter care, first aid, and CPR
- Knowledge
of infection control, safety practices, and sterile techniques
- Familiarity
with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate patient
record management
- Experience
in specialized areas such as
- Pediatric
or neonatal ventilator management, respiratory therapy, or surgical
assistance
- Ability
to care for patients with complex medical needs including
- Dementia,
Alzheimer’s and memory care, Infectious conditions, Pain management, and Post-acute
care
- Strong
communication and patient education skills including
- Experience
supporting patients with disabilities or developmental delays
