Description

Join our team at Northway Family Med Clinic! The LPN, CMA or MA will provide patient rooming for all types of clinic visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently, assist Providers with clinic procedures, accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatments in the patients' electronic medical record, perform telephone screening and gather information from patients to communicate to the RN or Provider, administer appropriate medications and immunizations to patients under the direction of the RN or provider, recognize patient’s abnormalities or urgent care needs and seek appropriate assistance.

Schedule:

  • Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks 
  • Variable Days Monday-Friday 
  • 9-hour Shifts generally 7:30am-5:00pm
  • No weekends or major holidays

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • LPN starting pay begins at $24.21 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

    • Pay range: $24.21 – $36.35 per hour

  • CMA starting pay begins at $20.71 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

    • Pay range: $21.54 - $32.31 per hour

  • MA starting pay begins at $18.40 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

    • Pay range: $19.15 – $28.71 per hour

  • $2,500 hiring bonus for LPN, $2,000 hiring bonus for CMA/MA!

Qualifications:

  • LPN

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

    • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required

    • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider cared required per established policy

  • CMA/RMA

    • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

    • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following: 

      • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

      • American Medical Technologists (AMT)

      • NCMA through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

      • National Healthcareer Association (NHA) 

      • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) 
        • Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date.
    • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider cared required per established policy

  • MA

    • High School diploma or GED and
    • Graduate of medical assisting programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)   
    • Or Current certification from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), NCMA through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
    • A clinical externship is required for non-certified MA applicants with less than 6 months of MA experience. 
    • Current MA certification registration through AAMA or AMT preferred
    • Certification within 6 months of hire date.
    • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider cared required per established policy

 

 

To be eligible for the sign-on bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full-time or part-time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire. 

To be eligible for the relocation bonus you must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away and relocate to within 30 miles of primary work location within 120 days.
