Application are being accepted for the position of practical nursing program instructor for the following schedules:

· Monday through Thursday 3:00p.m. to 9:30p.m., OR

· Friday to Sunday 7a.m to 3:30p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of the KSBN curriculum requirements.

2. Current Kansas / Missouri RN license.

3. Completion of BSN or higher degree.

4. One to three years nursing experience

5. Current relevant clinical experience in subacute/rehab or acute medical/surgical nursing and/or specialty area (i.e., Mental Health, Obstetrics, etc.).

6. Active BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association certification

7. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan, teach and evaluate clinical medical-surgical nursing and other specialty areas in the clinical setting.

2. Develop, implement, and revise the standards based practical nursing curriculum in accordance with state and national standards.

3. Clinical nursing adjunct faculty to teach at off-campus clinical instruction sites.

4. Assume the obligations ordinarily associated with the teaching profession.

5. Support the college Policies and Procedures, maintain confidentiality of student data, and exercise great professionalism
