LPN Supervisor

UCFS is hiring! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Care Home Nursing Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations and Resident Attendant staff of Sheltering Arms part-time while providing the highest quality of nursing care for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for both residents and staff.  This full-time position offers flexible hours Monday through Friday for 36 hours per week and includes an on-call requirement.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train and support staff, fostering professional development and teamwork.
• Screen prospective residents for appropriateness of admission to the facility; coordinate all admissions and discharges 
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to residents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including review of residents' medications administration and documentation.
• Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, documenting changes and communicating with family members, care givers and healthcare providers.
• Manage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Address any concerns or issues raised by residents or their families in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulations.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current CT license
• 3 to 5 years of related experience
• Proven experience in a nursing supervisory role, preferably in a residential care or long-term care setting strongly preferred
• Valid CT Driver's License
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices in residential care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
