Description
Summary/Objective
Oversees daily operations to ensure that offices run smoothly.
Essential Functions
Assigns duties to nurses on unit making work assignment decisions based on workload
Handles all disputes on hall and communicates problems/issues to coordinator in timely manner
Balances workload and nurse job duties
Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage
Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate
Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patients medical record
Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office
Requests additional coverage to cover unity workload in a timely manner

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Position requires a great deal of walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies.
It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day. Lifting up to 30 pounds may occasionally be required, depending on the specific style or type of care provided and must be able to push/pull a patient sitting in a wheelchair.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the inside from the Care Team station to the exam rooms to interact with patients and stock supplies.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as nebulizer, fax machine, copier and computer printer. Able administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections.
The person in this position frequently communicates with Clinic staff, such as providers, patients, call center representatives, receptionists, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care, specialty pharmacies, etc . Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
May be exposed to live vaccines, blood-borne pathogens, and bio-hazardous materials.
Must be able to appropriately assist with procedures.

No travel is expected for this position.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida license
CPR certification
Preferred Education and Experience
One year experience in a health care facility
Additional Qualifications
Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
