LPN - Unit Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long term care facility as a Unit Manager. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage and coordinate unit operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned unit within the long term care facility.


• Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and other team members.


• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


• Coordinate patient care activities and maintain accurate documentation.


• Assist in developing and implementing care plans tailored to residents’ needs.


• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.


• Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff to promote professional development.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.


• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of Georgia.


• Previous experience in a long term care setting preferred.


• Proven leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.


• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and regulatory guidelines.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
