What We’re Looking For
Safety-Sensitive & Drug/Alcohol Testing
All JEI employees who perform work in field operations, visit or perform work at job sites, or operate a company vehicle are considered to be in a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated position and are required to complete and pass DOT-regulated drug screenings for pre-employment and post-employment screenings, including ongoing random drug pool testing (occurs company-wide as frequently as monthly), post-accident/incident, return to work, follow-up, and reasonable suspicion. DOT-regulated drug screenings test for marijuana (THC) as well as other controlled substances, and a positive result, refusal to test/retest, or refusal to complete testing is considered a failed test. A failed test, refusal to test, or violation of Company policy may result in withdrawal of offer, disqualification from employment, termination, and reporting to the DOT Clearinghouse as required by law. Failed tests and violation records are kept on record with the DOT Clearinghouse and may be visible to potential employers for five (5) years or until a Return-to-Duty process and follow-up testing plan have been completed successfully, whichever is later.
