Pay Range: $18.00/hour - $21.00/hour


***Schedule Information: This position is a Tuesday - Saturday shift. ***

SUMMARY OF POSITION


Our service department is seeking someone who can add to the team as a Lube Technician that is responsible for quickly and accurately performing lube, oil and filter services and providing an excellent experience for internal and external customers. You would be an integral part of a team, the sales and service process, and ultimately creating lifelong customer relationships.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Accurately and efficiently perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, lubrication services, and basic maintenance  

  • Complete a thorough Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection on all vehicles, in accordance with Knudtsen’s quality standards

  • Direct all needed repairs and preventative maintenance to the Service Consultant 

  • Ability to perform video inspection and communicate findings  

  • Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment Utilize TruVideo technology to capture and communicate clear, professional inspection videos and photos, effectively explaining vehicle conditions, recommended repairs and maintenance needs to customers to enhance transparency, trust, and service approval rates.

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures

  • Assist with washing vehicles, cleaning the shop and work areas, taking out the trash, or other Porter functions as needed

  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS


A team player focused on providing exemplary customer service. 



  • Previous experience in a dealership environment is preferred. 

  • Able to safely operate a wide variety of cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, including both automatic and manual transmissions. 

  • Have a valid driver’s license. 

  • Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record. 

  • Pass a criminal background check and drug test.

  • Also subject to random drug testing at the company’s request. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORKING ENVIRONMENT


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: work standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment, speak and listen, both over the phone and in person to customers and fellow employees. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to work in a seated position, climb or balance and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20 - 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Team Members regularly works 40 hours per week.  While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and chemicals. Frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and combustibles. Fast paced working environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
