Job Description - Lumber Picker

About the Role

Paid Training | No Experience Required | Hiring Immediately

Looking for a hands-on job where you can stay active and build a skillset?

Weâre hiring a Lumber Picker to join our production team. Youâll go through a structured 30-day training program with a mentor, learning how to pull materials, support production, and operate equipment safely.

This is a physical, fast-paced role that plays a key part in keeping production moving across the plant.

If you like working with your hands and being part of a team, this is a strong opportunity to get started and grow.

What Youâll Do

â¢ Pull and stage lumber based on production needs and cut lists

â¢ Read and follow basic work orders and material lists

â¢ Load, move, and organize materials across the plant

â¢ Operate forklifts and equipment (training provided if needed)

â¢ Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized

â¢ Work with your team to keep production running efficiently

Requirements

â¢ Strong work ethic and reliability

â¢ Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment

â¢ Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

â¢ Team-first attitude and willingness to learn

â¢ Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

â¢ No prior truss experience required â training provided

Preferred Qualifications

â¢ Forklift experience, especially with lumber or building materials

â¢ Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or production environment

â¢ Basic understanding of measurements and material handling

Physical Requirements

â¢ Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly

â¢ Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting

â¢ Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in all seasons

â¢ Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
