Lumber Yard Laborer (Outdoor / Year-Round)

Atlantic Forest Products, LLC is hiring full-time Lumber Yard Laborers to join our team in Sparrows Point, MD. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position where you’ll work outdoors year-round helping move, stack, and prepare lumber for daily operations and customer orders.

What You’ll Do (Daily Work)

• Lift, carry, stack, and move lumber and building materials throughout the workday
• Pull, stage, and organize customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Work is predominately in a covered unconditioned workspace but there will be times you will be outside in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)  
• Assist with general lumber yard duties including cleanup, organization, and keeping work areas safe
• Use basic hand tools as needed (tape measure, straps, etc.)
• Follow all safety procedures while working around heavy materials and equipment
• Growth Opportunity: Employees may have the opportunity to train on forklift operation as they gain experience and demonstrate reliability.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to monitor working machinery while lifting 30+ lbs constantly throughout the day 
• Comfortable with physical work including bending, climbing, walking, and repetitive motion
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
• Able to follow instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers
• 2 years of related labor/outdoor work experience required
• Forklift or equipment experience is a plus, but not required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
