Lunch Program Support (School Year 26-27)

Position Summary: The Lunch Program Support Guide will manage daily aspects of the Ridge and Valley Charter School (RVCS) participation in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) according to the duties and responsibilities below. This is a 10 month position, September through June.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain Warren County Health Department and NJ Department of Agriculture/Division of Food and Nutrition food safety compliance standards


• Pick up meals at Frelinghuysen Township School (FTS) and deliver to RVCS


• Set up for lunch distribution for all teams and support meal delivery to students/classrooms


• Post-lunch collection of trash and compostable/recyclable materials, when applicable


• Prepare, clean, and sanitize lunch tables and/or trays


• Ensure readiness of meal delivery, meal prep supplies, and paperwork for the following day


• Maintain Records for the NSLP (including daily lunch lists, edit check worksheets, production records, daily refrigerator temperature logs, etc.)


• Monthly menu updates and posting


• Maintain confidentiality of student NSLP eligibility status


• Communication with RVCS Food Service Director


• Communication, as needed, including menu review and order coordination, with FTS Food Service meal program staff


• Other related tasks as assigned by the RVCS Leadership Team, Food Service Director, and/or Business Coordinator

Qualifications and Requirements

• Fingerprinting and criminal history background check clearance


• Ability to maintain records and keep an inventory of necessary supplies


• Knowledge of and aptitude for using Google Mail, Forms, Docs, and Sheets


• Completion of BambooHR/Vector and other required Civil Rights and health and safety trainings


• Access to a reliable vehicle; hold a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration for pick up and delivery meals


• Ability to follow directions and work with others in a team environment


• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of student School Nutrition Program eligibility status
