Machine Attendant

Description

• Maintain proper coolant concentration using Refractometer and P.H meter.  

• Clean and maintain coolant levels in machine lines/sumps and holding tanks. 

• Maintain/clean machines; Add oil and change filters on machines as scheduled. 

• Report machine wear and leaks to supervisor. 

• Maintain necessary Computer Maintenance Software (CMS) records after tasks are completed.  

• Coordinate with supervisor to safely start and stop machine cycles.  

• Maintain work area and equipment in accordance with TPM. 

• Maintain an organized, clean and safe working environment by following 6S standards. 

• Properly follow all H&M procedures and policies. 

• Use correct P.P.E. per JHA’s and Job Description; required to wear safety shoes with the standard F2412 and  F2413 rating.   •Individuals trained in NFPA 70E Arc Flash are required to wear electrical hazard safety shoes with  the F2412EH and F2413EH rating.  

• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System. • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• High School or Technical School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; Mechanical experience  preferred. 
• Ability to do basic math.  
• Ability to write simple notes; ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance  instructions, procedure manuals and safety rules.  
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.  
• Able to work Saturday and/or Sunday on a rotating basis to meet business needs
