Machine Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues to reduce downtime and ensure efficient operations of multiple injection molding machines. 

Schedule: Monday through Friday (Some weekends required)

1st Shift-6 AM to 2:30 PM

Pay: From $25 an hour

Your Day to Day: 

· Follows all safety requirements, policies, and takes action to correct issues when found

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all items related to the molding process and supporting equipment

· General maintenance duties relating to the manufacturing plant 

· Support preventative maintenance initiatives and daily repair of auxiliary and molding equipment

· Function effectively in a team environment

· Startup and shutdown of all production equipment and systems

· Assists with mold changes and insert changes per the production schedule

· Ability to assemble/disassemble injection molding machines and supporting equipment as required for repairs and installation

· Work with team members and supporting departments such as process technicians, tooling, production, and supervisors

· Maintain proper records of work performed through maintenance request orders (IQMS)

· Support production and follow all company policies relating to safety, quality, and ISO

· Commitment to 5S, including: 

o Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining a clean organized, and efficient workplace by applying the principles of 5S. 

o Actively participate in keeping the work environment orderly. 

o Identify opportunities to improve workflows. 

o Adhere to established standards to ensure safety, quality, and productivity

o Support continuous improvement by fostering an atmosphere of respect for materials, equipment, and shared spaces. 

o Encourage team accountability for sustaining a well-organized workplace.

Requirements

What We Would Love About You: 

· HS Diploma, GED or work experience preferred

· Good mathematical skills

· Read, write, and communicate in English

· Spanish language is a plus

· Communicate well with all levels within the company

· Experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment 

· Previous experience working with injection molds or similar industry is highly preferred

· Basic understanding of injection mold components

· Ability to read blueprints/drawings

· Basic computer skills using word and excel

· Knowledge of 5S, PDCA, SMED, Kaizen and other key principles of continuous improvement
