Machine Operator

Description

The Production Operator will safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment to meet expected production rates. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

· Responsible for basic daily/weekly maintenance of machinery and possess mechanical skills to assist maintenance team as needed.

· Working closely with the Operations team and Production leads to ensure consistent and efficient operation of equipment to meet daily safety, quality, and production goals.

· Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.

· Identify product defects.

· Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area.

· Communicate problems to management and other technical resources to ensure quality parts are made.

· Follow documentation practices including filling out forms for product quality and traceability.

Requirements

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to accurately use rulers and calipers.

· Prior experience utilizing adhesives, a plus.

· Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly

· Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem

· Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required

· Spatial Relations, Mechanical Aptitude, Teamwork, and collaboration.

· High school Diploma or GED

· Lift up to 40 pounds, with additional team lift

· Fast paced production environment

· Use of hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes required. Hearing and eye protection provided. Safety shoes and prescription safety eyewear covered by reimbursement program.
