Machine Operator

Description

Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and change over procedures of machines. The Operator may work with computer-controlled equipment.

General overview:

• Operates automated production machines to achieve Quality and Production goals
• Load raw materials to the rollers on the machine
• Preventative maintenance of production machines
• Responsible for quality of parts produced by machinery in their care
• Must be comfortable working at height greater than 6 feet
• Maintain machine logbooks and records for inspections per SOP
• Performs basic troubleshooting
• Maintains a clean and safe work area, disposing of excess materials

Requirements

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
• Possess basic mathematical skills
• 1-2  years machine operator experience
• Manufacturing experience

Physical demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Due to the environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold

Required education:

• High school or equivalent
