About Super Thin Saws
In 1971, engineer John Schultz graduated from MIT and moved to Vermont to make a difference in the saw blade industry. Super Thin Saws was founded with the aim to reduce waste, increase yields, and boost bottom lines in the woodworking industry.
After quickly becoming a worldwide leader in saw blade technology, STS’s founder hired current VP, Rob Bisbee in 1978. We outgrew the original small barn workshop in the village of Moretown, VT, and moved to our current Waterbury location in 1997. Today, STS is the premier producer of thin circular sawblades for woodworking applications worldwide.
