PURPOSE OF POSITION

Press Seal Corp. is seeking a dependable and skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our precision machining team. This role involves operating and maintaining Haas CNC lathes and mills in a Lean 5S captured tool room environment, ensuring consistent production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have experience with Haas controls, basic G-Code understanding, and a commitment to workplace organization and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Haas CNC Lathes and Mills
• Load/unload parts, monitor machine cycles, and inspect finished components.
• Perform machine setups including tooling changes, offsets, and fixture installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. 
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Communicate with programmers and supervisors to resolve machining issues.
• Record production data and maintain accurate job documentation.
• Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
• Support other shop operations including use of grinders, saws, and hoists.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience operating Haas CNC machines.
• Familiarity with G-Code and Haas control interfaces.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and quality control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to multi-axis machining and bar feeder systems.
• Experience with Fanuc Wire EDMs and manual machining.
• Familiarity with support equipment such as surface grinders, band saws, and welding tools.
