Title: Machine Operator
Pay: $24.88/hr + shift differential

Actively Hiring for 12 Hour Night Shift:
5pm- 5:30am
This schedule restarts every 2 weeks.
Week 1: You work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You are off Wednesday and Thursday.
Week 2: You work Wednesday, and Thursday. You are off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Job Purpose
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating state-of-the-art high-speed wrapping machinery.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience operating high speed machinery and/or equipment in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.
- Understanding of computer systems (Ex: MS Office, inventory systems, SAP, etc)
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Ability to keep accurate inventory records.
- Strong understanding of all GMP’s, PPE’s and quality checks
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Supply the wrapping machine with the appropriate finished product and wrapping materials to keep the machine running with minimal material waste.
- Meet the productivity requirements daily while keeping hourly count reports of production, downtime and waste amounts.
- Perform quality assurance checks throughout shift (e.g., inspect for packaging & material defects & ensure gum quality)
- Troubleshoot machine breakdowns, clean machine jams & align rolls of wrapping materials to minimize downtime and promote productivity.
- Perform periodic Autonomous Maintenance (5S, clean, inspect and lubricate, maintain centerlines & address abnormalities) activities to ensure it performs at peak efficiency.
- Perform general housekeeping duties around the machine (e.g., sweeping floors, cleaning machine parts, supply tables, gum tables, etc.)
- Provide occasional backup for Material Supply-Gum and any other ad hoc tasks when needed.

Training & Onboarding:
- 3-day initial orientation on start date (Day Shift)
- 6-week training program (Flexible between Day & Night Shift)
- To ensure the efficiency and safety of our associates and the product, all new hires will go through a stringent onboarding and training program. Therefore, new hires are not eligible to take any vacation during the 6-week training period.
Compensation:
- $24.88/hr + shift differential
