Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our Terrazzo Tile production team. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and monitoring various production equipment to manufacture terrazzo tiles in a range of styles, colors, and sizes. The Machine Operator ensures safe, consistent, and high-quality production throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review daily production schedules and verify proper equipment setup.

• Perform machine start-up using standardized procedures, including minor preventive maintenance and equipment adjustments.

• Operate a variety of automated and manual production machines such as grinders, polishers, UV lights, ovens, forklifts, and tile handling equipment.

• Monitor production processes and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Interpret and follow blueprints, specification sheets, and other production documents accurately.

• Use measuring tools and hand tools as needed to ensure product standards are met.

• Handle pneumatic, water, and chemical feed systems during production operations.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.

• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Automated grinding and polishing machines

• Pallet trolley, tile turner, backgrinder, face grinder

• UV curing lights and ovens

• Forklift and other standard shop tools

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, twisting, and reaching.

• Repetitive motion with hands, wrists, and arms.

• Use of ladders, stairs, and other elevated workspaces as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production machinery.
