Machine Operator 1st shift - Urgent Hire

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a One-Piece Card Operator for a 12 Month contract position. Candidates are able to apply for a full time role while on assignment. This is for a day shift role.  6.a.m. - 2 p.m. Pay rate $16.00 per hour

One Piece Card Operator

JSG is currently hiring for a One-Piece Card Operator in our customers St. Petersburg location. The One-Piece operator will set up and run a One-Piece machine. The One-Piece operator will identify, troubleshoot and correct machine related problems by adjusting various settings or parts of the machine. This position reports directly to the shift supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work from written instructions (job jacket)
• Check to assure they are running the correct product (stock card, custom card, correct blister).
• Fill out appropriate documentation (QC check sheet, daily time sheet).

• Assure they are using the correct boxes and item box labels.
• Visually inspect materials before running on machine.
• Basic machine operation to include inspection, troubleshooting and decision making.
• Quality of finished product.
• Move finished good to release area.

• Keep machine and surrounding area clean and tidy.
• Ability to work independently

Required Knowledge and Skills

• The ability to work collaboratively with team members and cross shift peers.

• Organization and prioritization ability
• Capable of working with limited supervision

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Work overtime with little or no advance notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience a plus but not a necessity

Work Conditions

• Manufacturing environment in St Petersburg
• Extended or irregular work hours
• Personnel Protective Equipment as required
