Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Description

Allstate Can, a division of The Ohio Art Company, is looking for machine operators for the 2nd shift. This position will require work on-site 4 nights a week with overtime potential on weekends. (Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-3am)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare machines for operation by adjusting settings, loading materials and ensuring all components are in place.
• Operate machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure they function correctly.
• Ensure products are made to quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance procedures on equipment to prevent breakdowns and uphold peak performance standards.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions through systematic troubleshooting and timely repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to create a safe work environment for yourself and others. 

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a machine operator, with at least 2-3 years experience or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
