Machine Operator - Arch Wires Operator - 1st Shift

Job Summary:

Manufacture arch wires from raw material into finished goods

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Run a machine to wrap wire onto a mandrel, put the mandrel of material into a salt bath, cut and deburr material


• Run multiple ultrasonic machines


• Use a computer to laser mark ID lines onto the wires


• Inspect wires for size, shape, and any defects


• Scale material and issue material to work order using a scanner


• Take measurements of wire using a micrometer or caliper


• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Basic reading, math and computer skills


• Experience with calipers, micrometers, toolmakers microscope


• 2 years' experience in direct manufacturing


• Must be able to stand for up to 8 to 10 hours per day


• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds


• Must be able to look at small parts for extended periods of time
