Job Description - Machine Operator Assistant

The Assistant Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring line employees have the necessary material to perform each task of the line, train new and existing employees, and be flexible to work in other areas when needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete Lead Operator training
  • Able to run line efficiently and fill in for lead operator as needed.
  • Proficient at each assembly station (able to complete standard work within established cycle time) including understanding and maintaining 5S standards in each station.
  • Strategize with Supervisor and Lead Operator to meet daily demand.
  • Ability to flex to every assembly and operator station on assigned production line as needed.
  • Keep all supplies at each assembly station stocked daily.
  • Work with Supervisor to avoid stockouts and shortages.
  • Training buddy for new hires.
  • Adhere and encourage others to follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
All other duties assigned by Supervisor.
