Machine Operator Assistant 3rd shift - Hiring Now

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Card Press Assistant/Machine Operator for a 12-month contract assignment. This role is in St. Pete Florida and candidate can apply for a full-time role while on assignment. There are various shifts available:

Payrate $15
Day Shift

The Press Assistant will assist the Card Press Operator in all areas in the manufacturing process of our product within standards set by the company including quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Check job jacket for special instructions, check ink, coatings, glue levels and refill, if necessary, make and label boxes.
• Check finished product for quality issues.
• Pack product in boxes, change paper rolls, foil rolls, dies.
• Maintain press registration; maintain cleanliness of press and surrounding work area.
• Any other needs requested by the card pressman, supervisor and or manager.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of basic verbal instructions.
• A basic understanding of the flexographic printing process, the application of glues, coatings and the laminating of substrates to the parent web example: foil, film, liner etc.
• Must have steel toe shoes.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED

Word Conditions:

• Speak clearly and listen (hearing).
• Stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to lift 25 pounds – 35 pounds repetitively.
• Move rolls of Plastic/Board/Foil/Liner/Label Stock – 400 pounds – 1000 pounds (rolling material on their diameter).
• Move skids weighing up to 2,500 pounds with the use of mechanical and or powered rolling stock. (Pallet jacks).
• Warehouse Environment
