Coating Machine Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM or Sunday - Thursday 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Compensation: $18.00/hr + Shift Differential

AFC Materials Group is hiring a Coating Machine Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on production role where you’ll be trained on two key areas of our coating process – working with high-performance materials used in advanced industrial applications. If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, and thrive in a team-driven environment, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate coating machinery (PTFE, horizontal, or calendar-based systems)
• Perform quality checks and adjust processes as needed
• Mix coating materials per specifications
• Use our inventory system to complete basic production transactions
• Use our inventory system to complete basic production transactions

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or team-lift up to 100 lbs)
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification
• Prior manufacturing or coating experience a plus
